You make a decision to study abroad

You consult the web site and choose what of the partner universities and programs you want to attend and for how long (maximum is two semesters)

If you have a problem choosing a university, according to your interest you consult a specific "Fachvertreter" from the Biology Faculty – for example, if you are interested to focus on molecular biology, you should contact the "Fachvertreter" from the Lehrstuhl Molekularbiologie and ask what of the offered universities and courses he/she would recommend; you are encouraged to consult several "Fachvertreter". Please note that Prof. Macek cannot give any advice on courses that he does not teach.

You write a motivation letter, stating where and when you want to go, the reason why you want to go and with whom did you consult. The form for this letter, together with the information on other required documents can be downloaded. (see below).

There are two deadlines for submission of the motivation letter and other required documents: February 1 and July 15 of each year. Documents are submitted to Mrs. Grammig.

Based on the submitted documents, Prof Macek decides whether your motivation meets the criteria to study abroad

7.

In the case of a positive outcome, you are offered a place on your desired university – if you accept it, it is binding. Mrs. Grammig will then hand you the official Application Form and “Annahmeerklärung” and you will be led through the rest of the process.
